Rosie Gets the Facts Wrong--Again
The Americas
Roger Aronoff
The Rosie O’Donnell-Elisabeth Hasselbeck battle is big news. In a modern female version of CNN’s old Crossfire show, these panelists on ABC’s “The View” let the rhetoric fly on issues like the Iraq War. Guns: Turn ‘em In, Officials.
The Americas
John Longenecker
Senator Dianne Feinstein said, “Turn ‘em in, America,” a very unpatriotic command nobody has to obey because it was against the law. She might as well have urged Americans to purchase other Americans while it’s against the law to own another person in this country. As civil rights, both are absolute, and for good reason. Who in her right mind could urge Americans to surrender a civil right? Indeed, even just a little? Could any reason be good enough?

New Mexico to Become Latest Large Mexican Colony?
The Americas
Sher Zieve
Just when I thought politics in New Mexico could not possibly become any more bizarre - they did. The police department for the state capitol - Santa Fe - has made the decision to hire Mexican Nationals (NOT US citizens) as “law enforcement” officers. In this way, the new Mexican (not US) police officers can ensure that illegal immigrants are given the special privileges the anarchistic hordes have decided they deserve. And, New Mexico has begun the secession from the US, in order to no longer have to adhere to its pesky laws.

Asia
Mary Mostert
There were almost no media reports on it, but China’s 17th Communist Party Congress (CPC) adopted a new amended Constitution(1) on October 21, 2007. Should you care about this? Perhaps. It was at the 11th Congress of China’s Communist Party Congress, held in 1979, that China adopted, in effect, free enterprise. That is why so much of what you buy today comes from China. Since that Congress the economy of China has grown by leaps and bounds.

Palestine - Jordan Jittery But Not To Worry
Middle East
David Singer
King Abdullah of Jordan has obviously got a bad attack of the jitters as Israeli politicians now focus their attention on Jordan returning to re-occupy the heavily Arab populated areas of the West Bank - as Jordan had done so successfully before between 1948-1967.
